chops

I draw words out of pens like swords out of sheaths

don’t stress the address but stress the mess that we’ve inherited,

 went to Burger King
got me a whopper jr
no tomato please
throw some cheese on that bitch.

Push… pull… give… take…//
move… stop… go… wait…//
relative to the ways of living everyday,//
whether you can change, or shift to evade,//
Relationship of self manifests the mastery,//
If you don’t suppress yourself, success will come naturally,//
Your fantasies become reality, if humility prevails,//
But some effort is quite challenging, to overcome or fail,//
The struggling winds, don’t always carry your sails,//
So it’s either sink or swim, tredding through the details,//
Trust your instincts, grab the mic, with vigor and urge,//
Absorb the light, and release, what you consider with words,//
Temper your sword, and strike your page with heat,//
Ravenge every emcee, that feels the need to compete,//
Since you need to eat, with a hunger for meat,//
carnivorous tendencies, with sense for the street,//
Strap your boots up tight, cause you’re gonna walk through the grit,//
fully geared down! dodgin’ bullets and spit,//
And not everyone’s gonna ride, with you, on the same tip, //
But the army that does… is gonna die for this shit!//

free me, save me, bathe me in holy heat//
release me, contain me, within the warmest beat//
where temperatures too hot to speak//
sweatin the breaks, down ya creases caressing your cheek//
vocal stretches the senses to meters raised N peaked//
totally sketches stresses on powerline loose leaf//
no trust after fuss, N curses abrupt, smoooth out//
cold touch, laughter vacant from the edge of our mouth//
the lips in a kiss taste doubt, its about right//
sour patches cover spills, still curdled in limelight//
how, oh how, will the devoute ignite//
why, oh why, do we stand to fight//
and my eye, is set wide so never no more//
to life passin me by, I cut thee umbilical cord//
lift from the soggy abyss, and ride winds//
so warm and confident you feel it from your bone to your skin//
admire it, take pride in it, aspire to higher heights//
sail into the sun and find our creator and sons//
holiest, held highest, found in the peace and quiet//
just your heartbeat and the worlds, so silent//
then you hear the voice in the trees, the wind at your feet//
all speakin the same langauge when im lucid in my sleep//
so i know its all connected, that energy is our inner-G//
O-D, we are self propelled heavenly bodies//
infinte searches, serving one purpose//
and that purpose is….

you call it deja vu, i call it ‘nothings new’//
past tense proved - future excused//
ive seen it before, thought it already
taken the rapport and changed the ending
shock, suprise, doubt and hope
back in strides while i strive to cope

let love shine steadily bright
while enemies fight.
let blemishes become a heavenly sight.
after ten of these rights, i’m left to explore
passages and situations i’ve stepped in before.
yet in the floor, former footsteps are shown smaller
since last i was here, i’ve aged and grown taller
unkown scholars are we in this university
we learn through example, experience, diversity
i’m sure as we search to solve universal mysteries
the answers lie hidden in our personal histories.
